Trent Jamieson is an award-winning novelist and short story writer. Orbit published his Death Works novels, which were about love, the city of Brisbane*, and the business of death. Angry Robot published the Nightbound Land Series which is sort of cli-fi, sort of steamclunk**, sort of space opera. Text published Day Boy; it’s country towns, vampires, and bildungsroman. This is the back catalogue (in mostly chronological order) and some new ones, and a bit of mostly useless writing advice, and some how-these-stories-beganisms. He has just had a baby daughter! Who knows how often he’ll put stories down here! His website is at www.trentjamieson.com.au *It’s a city in Australia. **yes, clunk.

Shale is dying. A vast, chaotic, monster-bearing storm known only as the Roil is expanding, consuming the land. Where once there were twelve great cities, now only four remain, and their borders are being threatened by the growing cloud of darkness. The last humans are fighting back with ever more bizarre new machines. But one by one the defences are failing. And the Roil continues to grow.
