My debut novella, Welcome To Orphancorp, won the Viva La Novella Prize and the 2016 Victorian Premiers Literary Award for Young Adult Fiction. It was shortlisted for The NSW Premiers Award, an Aurealis Award, and the Norma K Hemming Award. The sequel, Psynode, was released in May of 2017 and was shortlisted for an Aurealis Awards. The third and final book in the series Prisoncorp was published in 2019. My non-fiction can be found at Overland, Meanjin, Kill Your Darlings, and more. I am drawn to random patterns where ever they present themselves. Cement is a great canvas for these surprising stories. I found this in seating blocks, set against nature, behind the length of condos in Redmond, WA.

Science Fiction quarantine pandemic

The story of a quarantine told in recipes. Originally published on the now-defunct Australian short-story website 'Slink Chunk Press'. The only story I've ever written in 2nd person, and probably the only one I ever will.

Science Fiction dystopian

This is one of the first short stories I finished when I refocused on writing starting in 2012. I got the idea when I was lost in a multi-storey carpark, trying to find my car. This was one of my Clarion West application stories (I mean, one of the successful ones!) It took 2nd place in the KSP Foundation's annual short-story prize in 2014, and was originally published on the now-defunct but totally rad Australian science-fiction short-story site 'Slink Chunk Press'.
