Post art by Novae Caelum.
From the author: I have a cover for Magnificent! And I've just finished my paper edits of the full novella--the edited version and the last part (finally, yay!) is coming very soon!
Magnificent has a cover! Yay! This art came out in a creative rush, and I'm so pleased with how it turned out. In an equally creative rush, I've finished my paper edits of the full and final draft and have only to type them in and give everything one last look over before this novella is FINISHED. Which will be very soon! I'm tempted to post that last part before I do anything else, but I want to give you all a fully polished work. It's truly a work of my heart.
To everyone who's read it up until the second-to-last part, thank you so, so much for waiting! I really can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Any edits I've made have been mostly copy and line edits for clarity, and you won't need to reread the story for when I post the last part (unless you want to!). I'm hoping for a week or two tops until I have everything up, updated, and fully posted--barring any chronic illness timing mishaps, but it's all far enough along that I feel pretty confident in my timing estimate here.
I'm planning to format this all into an ebook and put it up on Amazon shortly, too. I'll post a link at the end of the story for subscribers and anyone who's purchased the novella here to download the ebook version for free when that's all set. I plan to keep this subscriber and purchase-only on Curious Fictions for now, so if you'd like to read, you'll have the chance to do that here (and support me!) as an alternative to other vendors, and still get the ebook too.
This book is very nearly and very soon to be a thing in the world!
Also, just wanted to give a head's up for my new ongoing project Poetry from the Stars: An Illustrated Novel, which is an experimental illustrated novel told through found-document alien poetry. I've been making these alien poetry pieces as a fun de-stressing sort of thing for two years now, and I've amassed a pile of about 80 of them so far. In trying to figure out what to do with them...a story started forming. I have no idea where this will go. Experimental, right? But I'm super excited to find out!
Will be back with more news and the full version of Magnificent soon!
